What is a Martingale Collar??
A Martingale Dog Collar (also called a limited slip collar) is adjusted to the exact size of the dog's neck when the collar is pulled closed. If the collar is properly fitted, it will be comfortably loose when not in use. When the Martingale is pulled, the 2 rings on the collar should pull together, an instant solution for dogs who tend to 'back out' of regular flat collars.
Dog owners are now preferring the Martingale Collar because it does not damage the fur and will not crush the dog's throat when adjusted properly.
